Story behind the design
I had long dreamed of creating a miniature house inspired by traditional Japanese architecture. I wanted more than a decorative model: a living world that children and adults could build, change and play with.
As a child, I loved building with Playmobil, so a modular house at a compatible 1:24 scale felt like a natural choice.
I first considered 3D printing the entire model, but that would have required a lot of plastic. Instead, I chose a hybrid approach: natural wooden boards for the structure, with 3D-printed connectors and architectural details.
The result is a creative, modular construction system that brings together the warmth of wood and the precision and flexibility of contemporary design.
